What is the EB-1 Evaluation service?
We assess your academic background, career achievements, and industry experience against the EB-1A, EB-1B, and EB-1C sub-category standards, identify which category fits and your prospects, and provide a written report.
-
What’s the difference between EB-1A, EB-1B, and EB-1C?
EB-1A (extraordinary ability) is self-petitionable, no employer required. EB-1B (outstanding professor/researcher) requires an employer offering a permanent teaching or research position. EB-1C (multinational executive/manager) requires U.S. employer sponsorship and proof of executive/managerial status at a related multinational company.
-
How much does the evaluation cost?
$200, creditable toward attorney fees for a full petition.
-
What documents do I need?
Award evidence, publications, media coverage, and proof of leading/critical roles (for EB-1A/B); or proof of multinational executive/managerial employment, org charts, and management responsibilities (for EB-1C).
-
Does EB-1A require employer sponsorship?
No — EB-1A can be self-petitioned, with no employer or labor certification needed.
-
How do EB-1B and EB-1C requirements differ?
EB-1B requires a permanent teaching/research position offer plus international recognition for outstanding achievement in your field. EB-1C requires at least 1 year of executive/managerial employment at a related foreign entity, and the U.S. role must also be executive/managerial.
-
How long does the evaluation take?
Typically 5-7 business days.
-
What if the evaluation isn’t favorable?
We’ll identify specific gaps and recommend either strengthening your evidence or a better-fitting category (such as NIW or O-1).
-
What’s included in the report?
Analysis against all three sub-categories, a recommendation on the best-fitting category, evidentiary gaps, and suggestions to strengthen your case.
-
What happens after the evaluation?
A favorable evaluation lets you retain us for the full EB-1 petition; otherwise, strengthen your materials first.
-
How does EB-1 compare to NIW/O-1, and how do I choose?
EB-1 is a green card category; NIW is also a green card path (under EB-2, generally a lower bar than EB-1A); O-1 is a nonimmigrant work visa (generally a lower bar than EB-1A/EB-2 but requires renewal). The evaluation weighs your background and recommends the best category or combined strategy.
